Three types of concrete slabs
Concrete slabs come in several different forms, each of which has unique performance characteristics.
Slab-on-ground
This is the most common slab, where the concrete is poured into excavated trenches on the ground. The Slab-on-ground is typically used for foundations, such as for a water tank or carport.
Suspended Slab
Using this method, the slabs are suspended above ground to isolate them from soil movement. This method is typically used for buildings which require insulation, such as a garage or extension.
